How to Make the Dip

Time to make another batch of Spicy Enough Tahini Dip dressing, but this time we are going spice it up. Literally, spice up your regular tahini. Let’s gather the ingredients first.

Ingredients needed:

  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 4-5 dry red chillis
  • 1 tablespoon of black pepper corns
  • 6-8 cloves of garlic (or more if you like)
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 1/2 cup of sesame seeds

What to do?

1: Heat a non-stick pan on medium level. Put the sesame seeds and all spices in the pan and roast. Use a wooden spoon to stir the dry ingredients, continuously. Be careful not to burn the sesame seeds.

2: once the sesame turns golden brown and aromatic, remove the pan and let the sesame seed cool down in a container and scatter it out.

3: Next, put the olive oil in a heated pan and fry the garlic until it’s brown.

4: In a blender, mix all the dry ingredients and olive oil together. Then start blending them all. Use a spoon to scrape down the paste on the sides of the blender. Blend until you achieve the consistency of the tahini dip you want. You can even add oil to adjust the creaminess.

5: store in an air-tight container and put in the fridge.

Note: spicy tahini paste will last for 1-2 weeks only
